My name is Harmony Pandey, Founder and President of ByKids4Kids and a senior at Thousand Oaks High School. My team and I are reaching out to you with an urgent appeal.

As students in the USA return to school, I wish I could say the same for the children in Nepal.

You may have seen the heartbreaking images of the catastrophic floods in Nepal. Communities have been devastated, lives have been lost and many are still missing. Countless young girls are facing the crisis without access to basic sanitation and menstrual hygiene supplies.

At ByKids4Kids, we're raising funds to provide essential hygiene and environmentally conscious period supplies to girls in the hardest-hit communities, helping them protect their health and confidence during this difficult time.

How the flood unfolded

A wall of glacial debris moved through north-central Nepal in minutes. Communities still rebuilding from the 2015 earthquake now face another long recovery.

    A glacial collapse

    Ice, rock and water rushed into the Bhotekoshi and Rasuwa river systems, creating a fast-moving debris flood.

    Three districts hit

    Communities across Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading lost roads, bridges, power infrastructure and homes.

    17,000+ need assistance

    The Gorkha Foundation reports at least 18 schools destroyed and 20 more damaged, interrupting safety and learning.

Founded on a simple belief when I was 7 that kids in the U.S. and around the globe can make a difference for kids in Nepal, ByKids4Kids was born in the aftermath of the devastating 2015 Nepal earthquake, which claimed nearly 9,000 lives.

Today, ByKids4Kids is a youth-led movement taking action across Nepal—from disaster relief and education to empowering young people, improving sanitation, and protecting the environment in marginalized communities.

Gorkha School Rebuild
EARTHQUAKE RECOVERY

Rebuilding a primary school in the 2015 earthquake epicenter.

The Gorkha district suffered catastrophic destruction in the 2015 quake. By Kids 4 Kids raised funds to construct a brand-new, safe primary school so children could return to learning.
